Holly Hodgdon

Holly began her career in 1981 as a hairstlist in Montana then moved to Reno in 1984 where she quickly built a strong following.  Always wanting to learn and grow her skills, Holly tried out and was accepted as a Paul Mitchell Associate.  She taught in-salon education, did platform work at hair shows, even working on stage with the late Paul Michell in San Francisco at the West Coast Beauty Show.  Over the years, Holly has created beautiful hair on many, including Hillary Clinton while she was campaigning for President of the United States.  In 2001 she traveled to London to train with the AVEDA London Academy's creative director, David Adams and Haircutting Educator, Ian Black.  With the sucess of her first salon, which opened in 1990, she partnered with Sally Meldahl and Ja-Non Barber to open Tangerine AVEDA in 2006,  Northern Nevadas' only AVEDA lifestyle Salon and Spa.  As salon director and co-manager, Holly oversees the training of all Neauvou Talent in exceptional guest service, color theory and application and cutting techniques.

Ja-Non Barber

Ja-Non has been working in the salon industry since 1985.  As a licensed Aesthetician and Massage Therapist she trained with Eve Taylor, founder of the CIDESCO School for Clinical Aromatherapy in London, England.  Afterwards, she explored aromatherapy for its effectiveness in skin therapy, and received advanced training in aromatherapy with Decleor Paris in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1990.  Intrigued by the idea of combing different modalities in her treatments, Ja-Non trained with LaStone, the pioneer in Hot Stone Massage.  She became certified in Hot Stone Therapies in 1992.  Experienced and knowledgeable in numerous european and aromatherapy  skin treatment lines, she became interested in Avedas' mission and buisness model in 1990 when whe opened her first salon and day spa.  During 2006, with the opening of Tangerine AVEDA, she became the spa director and salon co-manager with her partners, Holly Hodgdon and Sally Meldahl.  "I know we will always have new discoveries in the science of skin and body care , it's important to be vigilant in transforming those discoveries into something practical and useful for both esthetics and health benefits."

Renee Goebel

A Stylist since 1998, Renee Goebel began her career with an AVEDA salon in Illinois.  Eager to learn, she completed men's haircutting courses at the American Crew Menswork Academy in Colorado.  Renee then continued sharing her knowledge throughout the St. Louis and Chicago region as an educator.  She advanced her skills in Chicago by completing two intensive courses at Pivot Point International Advanced Academy and a creative course at MOPA. After much success Renee opened her own studio salon and continued to grow over the next five years.  More recently she completed four advanced courses with AVEDA  in New York and San Francisco.  Renee is passionate about creating hair designs that allow her guests to feel confident about their style with minimal daily effort.

Alexa Kak

Alexa is Tangerine Aveda's Hair Team Leader and Senior Stylist.  Alexa brings with her a broad scope of talent and expertise.  After graduating at the top of her class from Votech Academy, in Las Vegas, NV in 2004, Alexa teamed up with the well know celebrity stylist Michael Boychuk at Canyon Ranch Salon and Spa.  It was under Boychuk's in-depth and highly reputable tutelage, that Alexa honed her talents as a color specialist and stylist.  Alexa assisted Boychuk in maintaining the current trends and styles for A-list celebrity clientele, such as; Paris Hilton, Kirsten Dunst, and the late Anna Nicole Smith.  In 2006, Alexa became the fresh face on the Tangerine Aveda scene.  She quickly moved up the ranks from a New Talent Stylist to Senior Stylist in addition to occupying a strong leadership role on the Tangerine Team.  Alexa strives for professional excellence, as she seeks creative and innovative, continuous education.  Alexa deeply believes that the best creation of all is the satisfied customer.

 

 

 

 

Jen Rushton

Jen brings 10 years of hair styling experience to Tangerine Aveda. She joined the Tangerine team when our doors opened for business in 2005, and holds the position of Senior Stylist and Team Leader. Jen has attended numerous advanced stylist education classes and is dedicated to providing her clients with exemplary service.  "I like to create natural styles and colors that are customized to each guests' personality and lifestyle.  I love meeting new people and being their Daymaker!"  A true professional, Jen has the gift to make you look and feel your very best.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kacy Spencer

Kacy has worked with AVEDA Concept salons for over 13 years and is now with Tangerine AVEDA as a Senior Stylist.  She is extending her education by working as an instructor at Redken International Academy of Style.  She specializes as a master colorist, and is expert at advanced color placement, formulation and corrective color.

Lauren Lytle

Lauren joined Tangerine after graduating from Redken International in 2008. She continued to refine her education by apprenticing with our senior styling team and attending advanced Aveda training classes; and is now a Stylist on our team. Lauren has developed an eclectic stlye through various creative passions. Photography has made a huge impact on her perspective, and adventuring the globe expanded her desire to find personal and professional fulfillment. Exuding a rejuvenating spirit, Lauren is always grateful for the opportunity to enhance natural beauty with hair color, cutting and styling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lindie Mitchell

Lindie brings 20 years of experience as a Stylist, with an extensive background in hair color.  She is the former owner of a Salon and Gallery located in Chicago's Wicker Park Art District; where she decicated 12 years combining hair design and local artwork together in the same venue.  "Showcasing the artists was a great way to connect to the community."  Lindie relocated to work for the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe where she spent two years as Lead Stylist.  In search of a salon with a mission and a strong community connection, Lindie came to Tangerine in 2009.  "I thrive on creating visual beauty and making that vision a reality.  I see hair as a canvas with endless possibilities."

Kelsey Madrid

Kelsey joined Tangerine AVEDA in January 2011.  She is originally from San Diego, Ca. where she started her hairstyling career in 2006.  Kelsey is trained in AVEDA color, Paul Mitchell and Rusk cutting techniques and the Yuko Japanese Straightening System.  Since joining the Tangerine team she has completed her training in AVEDA's Smooth Infusion Retexturizing System.  Kelsey loves her job and thrives because of her passion for hair design and the joy she receives from making each and every guest happy.

Nicki Deville

As a licensed esthetician in the states of California and Nevada, Nicki Deville has been with AVEDA for over twelve years.  Her passion for a natural approach to skin care and cosmetics attracted her to AVEDA.  With a B.A. in psychology and her completion of a doctrine in Naturpathic Medicine, her journey in education continues as a skin care specialist.  Specializes in: AVEDA Skin Care, Aromatherapy, and Waxing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Terra Meyer

Terra relocated from Carmel, CA and brings 22 years of experience in the beauty industry.  She has a medical background and a passion for skin care.  Terra specializes in Facials, Reflexology and Eyebrow Design.  As a professional makeup artist she has worked on Runway, an HBO series, and with Marie Claire magazine.  "I feel srongly about the AVEDA mission and giving back to our community, Terra said."  Making people feel beautiful on the inside as well as the outside is very important to me.  I couldn't imagine doing anything else.  I love my job, team, and nurturing my guests."
